The FiftyFour daybed is an homage to the renowned nightclub Studio54 in New York City. Much like the club, the FiftyFour Daybed is sleek, and glamorous, and adds sensuality to any interior. Angelo Donghia was a frequent club-goer amongst other 1980s icons such as Diana Ross and Liza Minelli, both of whom also happened to be design clients of Angelo.

Following the enormous success of the Curve Sofa in 2017, and a high demand for modular, sculptural statement pieces the company wanted a refresh of its sectional sofas line. For this project I was in charge of creative direction, and, together with McKenzie Rist, of product development. We envisioned that the living was to become once again a nook, a cozy retreat from the outsize world. The shape was in fact conceived with an aim to achieve the most desirable, welcoming, rounded and soft curved form. The seat is made for lounging in a relaxed position, deep enough to rest your feet on it. The Riverside is all about playfulness and fluidity. Playing with arrangements and being allowed to transform a room with changing needs.
“Named after Riverside Park in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Riverside is a rounded Sectional Sofa designed for today’s lifestyle. Its deep and low seat is designed for lounging with the best possible comfort. This sofa is a floating upholstered sculpture capable of defining the home space in endless ways thanks to its many possible iterations: the Riverside sections can be easily swapped, moved, turned, and even used to make tête-à-tête type of seats”.

Eccentrica is a portable battery lamp that emits a warm, soft, and dimmable light, resulting from the balanced fusion of direct and reflected rays; just like the ones irradiated by the sun on Venetian façades, reflected on stones and water, emphasizing their peculiar irregulaties and fascinating details.
The design of Eccentrica Portami is inspired by the asymmetry that makes Venetian gothic architecture so unique in its resemblance of human and natural proportions.

A city, or ‘’Polis’’ in ancient Greek; intersecting volumes and surfaces that define usable spaces. Inspired by American classics such as Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie house, the Polis tables feature a series of stacked surfaces with deep overhangs, and two partially hidden structural pillars at the center to keep them perfectly grounded. Just as in many modern furniture pieces from the 1920s like the ones from Frank Lloyd Wright himself, but also Werner Blaser and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, there is a hint to the traditional Japanese woodcraft, which is remarkable example of clean lines, sophisticated joinery and understated yet precious wood finishes. The table top and shelf feature solid edge bandings, to prevent any laminate peel-off in case the edges get hit.
